An outdoor classroom is a practical, visually appealing, and inspiring space where children can explore and expand their imagination, develop their creativity, and cultivate essential skills.
“The outdoors offers limitless potential to young children. It becomes a place where they can go to relax their mind, to be inspired, and to deep dive into the world of imagination. It’s a place where they can design, create and explore. The possibilities are endless.”
– Angela Hanscom
Teaching Beyond the Classroom at Green View Garden
Green View Garden Cameron Highlands is dedicated to creating engaging outdoor learning environments to enhance the quality and benefits of nature experiences for children in various education programs.
In honor of the 13th UNESCO International Art Education Week, we are delighted to host young artists and expert educators from the Makers Art Centre for an Outdoor Aesthetics Classroom (Art in Nature).
Green View Garden offers plenty of space for children to indulge in imaginative play and improve their drawing abilities while enjoying the beauty of nature.
The outdoor location at Green View Garden provides a supportive environment for creative discovery, allowing the youngsters to take inspiration from their surroundings and improve their artistic expression.
The Transformative Power of Outdoor Classroom
Educators, parents, and students increasingly recognize the benefit of outdoor education and nature-based learning.
An outdoor classroom provides a unique and effective approach to fostering student development and reconnecting with the natural world.
The primary goal of outdoor classrooms is to establish an immersive and interactive learning environment that boosts academic, social, and emotional growth.
Taking education outdoors exposes students to a variety of multi-sensory experiences that foster holistic learning. From observing plants and animals in their natural habitats to conducting outdoor experiments and projects, outdoor classrooms provide limitless opportunities for experiential learning.
